Digital fax (also called internet fax or eFax) converts fax transmissions into digital files that travel over IP networks rather than traditional analog phone lines. Senders upload a document (PDF, Word, image) through a web portal, email attachment, or API, and the service delivers it to the recipient's fax number — whether they have a legacy machine or another digital fax service.

Zonitel digital fax assigns a real fax number to your account. Inbound faxes arrive as PDF attachments in your email inbox. Outbound faxes can be sent directly from the web portal or by emailing a document to a special send address. All transmissions are logged with timestamps and confirmation status for compliance records.
