CDR — Call Detail Records
Logs that capture metadata for every call: who called whom, when, how long, and what happened.
Call Detail Records (CDRs) are structured data logs generated by a phone system for every call event. Each record typically contains the originating number, destination number, call start/end timestamps, duration, call direction (inbound/outbound/internal), disposition (answered, missed, voicemail), and the extension or user involved.
CDRs are the foundation of telecom billing, compliance reporting, and operational analytics. Businesses use them to verify carrier invoices, audit employee call activity, identify unanswered customer calls, and feed data into CRM or BI tools. Regulators in some industries (healthcare, finance, legal) require CDR retention for a specified number of years.
Zonitel's analytics module provides CDR reporting with filters by date range, user, department, phone number, or call outcome. Exports are available in CSV format for integration with external tools. Combined with call recordings and AI transcriptions, CDRs give managers a complete picture of every customer interaction.
