Auto Attendant

An automated system that answers calls and routes them to the right department or extension without a live operator.

An auto attendant is an automated telephony feature that greets inbound callers with a recorded message and presents a menu of options — for example, 'Press 1 for Sales, Press 2 for Support.' The caller selects an option via touchtone keypad or voice command, and the system routes the call to the appropriate extension, ring group, or voicemail without requiring a live receptionist.
