Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) extends standard SMS by enabling the transmission of media files — photos, videos, GIFs, audio clips, and documents — within a single message thread. While SMS is limited to 160 characters of plain text, MMS supports rich content up to several megabytes and includes longer text bodies.
For businesses, MMS unlocks richer customer communications: send appointment confirmation photos, product images, promotional flyers, PDF invoices, or how-to videos.
